R ideau Arts Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching Ottawa’s cultural landscape through music-driven programming that promotes inclusivity, diversity, and artistic excellence. At the heart of our work is a deep commitment to presenting Arabic music and supporting Arabic artists, sharing the richness of this heritage with broader audiences across the city and beyond.
While music is the core of our programming, we embrace a multidisciplinary approach—collaborating with artists in theatre, dance, visual arts, and literature—to create innovative, cross-cultural experiences. We view music not only as an art form, but as a powerful tool for building bridges between communities, fostering dialogue, and inspiring connection.
We are equally committed to amplifying the voices of underrepresented groups, including Indigenous peoples, racialized communities, and individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. By creating space for these voices and encouraging artistic exchange, we aim to reflect the vibrant multicultural fabric of Ottawa.
Through public performances, educational initiatives, and collaborative artistic projects, Rideau Arts Institute seeks to spark meaningful cultural conversations and contribute to a more inclusive, united, and artistically rich society.
